Nevertheless, the need for uniting them was felt for quite some time. The birth of Syndicate Bank Retirees\u2019 Association was the outcome of the initiative taken by many seniors like Sri. K. Vishwanatha Shetty (who retired as a Senior Manager) and others. However, to begin with, this was restricted to only retiree officers and it was registered under the Societies Registration Act as on 7.12.1995.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sri. B.M Joshi, Sri. H.R Adiga &amp; Sri. M Sridhar Bhat were instrumental in drafting the constitution. For more than 10 years, the growth in membership was quite sluggish. At this juncture, it was rightly felt that the workmen retirees should also be brought within the fold of this Association, for the simple reason that there are no different service conditions as applicable to officer-retirees vis-a-vis workmen retirees. The urge for having a common platform for all sections of retired bank employees got a fillip in the hands of Sri. Abdul Jaleel, Sri. M.S Bhat and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 12th General Body held on 20\/9\/2007 marked the beginning of an era of a more inclusive organization, under one umbrella.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It was in Oct. 2013 that we sought affiliation to All India Bank Retirees\u2019 Federation, (AIBRF), the largest apex-level organisation of bank retirees in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 2015, the name of the organisation was changed from All India Syndicate Bank Retiree\u2019s Association (AISBRA) to All India Syndicate Bank retirees\u2019 Federation. (AISBRF).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 2019, our organisation has completed 24 years of its existence and stepped into its SILVER JUBILEE YEAR. Our 20th General Body Meeting held at Vijayawada, on 18\/12\/2019, coincided with the Silver Jubilee Year and this memorable event was celebrated in a very fitting manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On 19th Feb. 2025, our 22nd General Body Meeting was held at Bengaluru.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Consequent to the&nbsp; merger of Syndicate Bank with Canara Bank, it was decided at the appropriate level to&nbsp; to change the name of&nbsp; the organisation to&nbsp; &#8220;Canara Bank Retiree Syndians&#8217;&nbsp; Association&#8221; (CBRSA).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As on date, we have 4 affiliates, viz.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Syndicate Bank Retirees\u2019 Association, Pune,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Syndicate Bank Ex-staff Welfare Association, Kolkota.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Syndicate Bank Retirees&#8217; Association-Kerala<\/li>\n<li>Syndicate Bank Rtirees&#8217; Association-west Bengal<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There are 8 State Committees in all, operating in the states of,<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Andhra Pradesh.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Delhi.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Goa.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Karnataka.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maharashtra.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tamil Nadu.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Telangana.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Uttar Pradesh.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We have also formed a Women&#8217;s Wing on 18-12-2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The following benefits are being extended to the retirees due to the efforts of the Federation.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Annual Medical aid.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Holiday Home facility<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At industry level the following have been achieved with the active involvement of the Federation.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Increase in family pension from 15% to 30 %.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Health Insurance Scheme to the retirees.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pension to CRS employees.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Setting right of DA anomaly in respect of 7<sup>th<\/sup> B P i.e 1616-1684.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">100% DA neutralization to pre 2002 retirees.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fitment in respect of specialist officers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Payment of Ex-Gratia from Nov. 2022.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pension to resignees.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Updation of pension :<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The matter of updation of pension in respect of all retirees is under negotiation at apex level.
